1. Forword

Rexel 3S takes the protection of personal data seriously. Special attention to privacy in the processing and storage of personal data is a central concern. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) with effect from 25 May 2018. Rexel 3S's websites (collectively "Website") may contain links to websites of other providers which are not covered by this data protection declaration.

By using the Rexel 3S website, in particular by disclosing your personal data yourself via the Internet, you confirm that you have taken note of this data protection declaration and that you consent to the processing of your personal data by Rexel 3S in accordance with this data protection declaration. A revocation of this consent is possible at any time (cf. point 16 "Right to object" below).

 

2. Personal data

Personal data includes all information relating to an identified or identifiable person. They provide information about the identity of a person. This includes information such as name, address, postal address, telephone number, etc. Information that cannot be associated with identity (such as favorite websites or number of users of a website) is not included (Art. 4 para. 1 GDPR). If you decide to register, you must enter personal information in the individual user profile. It is up to you to decide whether you want to enter this data or not.

Rexel 3S uses the personal data for purposes of technical administration of the website and for user or customer administration only to the extent necessary in each case. In addition, personal data are only stored if they are provided voluntarily.
 

3. Disclosure of personal data

Subject to exceptions regulated by law, Rexel 3S will not pass on data to third parties without your consent. Should personal data be passed on to service providers in the course of processing, they are bound by the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and possibly by other statutory provisions.

Surveys or transmission of personal data to government institutions and authorities are only carried out within the framework of mandatory legal provisions (Art. 44-50 GDPR).

 

4. Contact form

If you send Rexel 3S enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form including the contact data you provided will be stored by Rexel 3S for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. Subject to point 2 above, we do not pass on this data without your consent.

 

5. Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, Rexel 3S requires an e-mail address from you as well as information which allows Rexel 3S to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties, subject to point 2 above.

You may revoke your consent to the storage of personal data in accordance with section 1 of this data protection declaration, in particular your e-mail address and its use to send the newsletter, at any time, for example via the "Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

Rexel 3S will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Rexel 3S uses suitable technical and organisational security measures for this purpose, which are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

However, Rexel 3S cannot guarantee the absolute security of the data. Rexel 3S does not assume any liability for violations of this safety regulation unless they are intentional or grossly negligent. To ensure confidentiality and security, your data is protected by a password of your choice; you must ensure that only authorised persons have access to your password. For your own security, we recommend that you change your password regularly.

 

7. SSL-Encryption

This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to Rexel 3S. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to Rexel 3S cannot be read by third parties. (Art. 32 para. 1-4 GDPR)

 

8. Server-Log-Files

The provider of our website automatically collects and stores information in so-called "server log files", which your browser automatically transmits to Rexel 3S. These are in particular:

  • browser type and browser version
  • used operating system
  • referrer URL
  • hostname of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request

These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data will not be merged with other data sources. Rexel 3S reserves the right to subsequently check this data if concrete indications of illegal use become known (Art. 32 Para. 1-4 GDPR).

This website uses mandatory and non-mandatory cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses.

  • It must be clicked at the top of the browser window on "Tools", then "Settings", then on the symbol for "Privacy" and in the field "Accept cookies" a tick must be set to allow cookies. To disable cookies, uncheck the box.
  • To delete cookies, click on "Tools" at the top of the browser window, then on "Options", then on "Privacy", then on "Delete now".

Safari

  • It must be clicked on "Safari" at the top of the browser window, then on "Settings", then on "Privacy" and then on "Block cookies". If you want to enable cookies, click on the "Never" option.
  • If cookies are to be deactivated, the "Always" option must be clicked.
  • If you click on "Remove all website data" next to "Cookies and other website data" and confirm with "Remove now", all cookies will be deleted.

If cookies are completely or partially deactivated or deleted, all functions of the website may no longer be available. If a user uses a web browser not listed above, further information can be found in the browser documentation or in the online help.

  • Right to rectification

If you have provided us with personal data, you have the right to have this data corrected if it is incorrect or incomplete. We will correct this data after having informed you accordingly (Art. 16 GDPR).

  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)

You have the right to have your personal data deleted if they are no longer necessary for processing, if they have been unlawfully processed or if you no longer consent to or object to the processing.

In the case of data that is subject to a statutory minimum storage period or if it is required to fulfil a legal obligation or to exercise or defend legal claims, Rexel 3S may refuse the requested deletion of personal data (Art. 17 para. 1-3 GDPR).

  • Right to restriction of processing

You may restrict or block the processing of your personal data if you dispute the accuracy of the data until Rexel 3S has verified the accuracy of such data. This also applies if the processing of your personal data is unlawful and you request the restriction of their use instead of their deletion.

The right to limit the processing may also be exercised if Rexel 3S no longer needs the data but the data subject needs the data in order to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Similarly, processing may be restricted if the person has objected to the processing of his or her data and Rexel 3S is considering whether his or her legitimate reasons or those of the person should prevail. Upon receipt of such a request, the processing of personal data will cease.

Rexel 3S has the right not to satisfy such a request under the following conditions
